Workshops

In 2025-2026 I experimented with facilitating workshops in the Creative Art of Problem-Solving.

Though I enjoyed the exploration and attendees appreciated getting to explore creative tools for meeting their challenges, I ultimately decided to stop running these workshops.

Life is busy and sometimes we need to say NO to one thing so we can say YES to another.

I opted to keep this webpage up and running, partly as a memory of the time and partly in case any organizations want to hire me to deliver the workshops for their employees/students/teams/etc.

I would be happy to run a one-off workshop – online or in Ottawa. See below the orange bar for some (updated) details.

Other workshop possibilities:

Spoken Word poetry workshops. I’ve primarily run these in school settings, though not recently. Focuses on self-expression, finding your voice.

Rock Stacking workshops. I’ve never run a formal rock stacking workshop but the idea intrigues me. I’ve taught friends and family members different balancing skills and would be keen to share my expertise with others.

We all have problems.

These challenges take different forms: stubborn work issues, personal projects that keep hitting roadblocks, strained relationships with family or friends, illusive life goals, quicksand, etc.

It’s easy to feel stuck, like we’re banging our head against the same wall over and over again.

Sometimes we need fresh perspective and new ideas. But to discover new ways forward, sometimes we need to look at the situation from a new angle.

That’s the goal of these workshops. They are highly interactive, designed to help you learn and practice the Creative Art of Problem-Solving.

The workshops focus on different skills, equipping you with new tools to explore whatever challenges that you’re facing. Plus they’re fun! I promise!

90 minutes is a good length, though I can be flexible, tailoring the workshop to your group’s needs.
